FRMS proudly recognizes Chief Sean Grinnell for his decades of dedicated service and leadership. After many years as a valued member of the FRMS Board of Directors, Chief Grinnell will officially retire following his final Board meeting on November 20, 2025.
Chief Grinnell’s journey with FRMS—formerly FASIS—began in the late 1990s when he attended meetings as a Safety Officer. In 2002, he became Chief of the Bodega Bay Fire Protection District, deepening his involvement and influence within the organization. Over the years, he played a key role in major milestones, including the transition from Darel Hepner’s administration to Sedgwick, and contributed to countless decisions that have shaped FRMS into the strong organization it is today.
His tenure has been marked by professionalism, vision, and an unwavering commitment to FRMS members. Chief Grinnell’s leadership has strengthened the foundation of FRMS and advanced its mission, leaving a lasting impact that will be felt for years to come.
As we celebrate his remarkable contributions, FRMS extends its deepest appreciation for his service and dedication. Chief Grinnell’s legacy will continue to inspire the organization and its members well into the future.
