The FRMS offers a large variety of employee benefits and insurance solutions that meet the unique needs of our membership. As a member district you will have access to competitive programs for medical, dental, vision and life insurance.
As of January 1, 2026, the FRMS Medical Program has ended, however, the Dental, Vision, and AD&D continue. The following is regarding the previous program.
Blue Shield of California and Kaiser Permanente
All members: Participation in the medical program automatically covers enrolled employees with group critical illness insurance offered through The Hartford, at no additional cost.
Fire districts only: Participation in the medical program makes your district eligible to receive an ANNUAL wellness stipend, to be used towards the district’s wellness activities and equipment, etc.
VSP Vision Care
The Hartford
All members: Participation in any one other line of coverage automatically covers enrolled employees with EAP offered through Simple Therapy, at no additional cost.
